NIXON VETERANS MEMORIAL WALL of REMEMBRANCE
The City of Nixon is in the process of creating a Veterans Memorial Wall as a tribute to the perseverance and solidarity of the Nixonites who sacrificed and served for the cause of freedom. This memorial will be a vivid and enduring expression of our gratitude.
The current plan calls for the Memorial Wall to be erected on the Nixon Post Office Parking Lot.
This includes the Nixon, Leesville and Smiley communities.
The initial engravement will be of NO COST to the contributor therefore we want to get as many names as possible!
The next wave of names will incur a PER LETTER COST. Please get your loved one’s name on the first list as the City does not want to pass that particular cost on to the contributor.
We humbly ask for the full name of all Local Veterans to be emailed to Harold Rice at citymanager@nixon.texas.gov or call in the information to (830) 582-1924.
Please fill out form below.
Deadline is February 1st, 2022.
May be an image of text that says 'VETERANS Memorial If you have any Veteran (living or deceased) in your family that you would like for us to tribute, please complete the following information. Deadline Feburary 1, 2021 Name of Veteran: Branch of Service: War or Time Period Served: Submitter's Name/Cell#: Address:'
